Multi-Instrumentalist and career musician Josephine Michener has been playing fiddle and singing with Grasstime® since the Spring of 2017, and officially became a member in Fall of 2019.  Her talents are many and is an incredibly gifted vocalist and multi instrumentalist playing fiddle, mandolin, guitar. Josephine's playing style adds color and texture to elevate the signature Grasstime® bluegrass sound. Other Grasstime® members are delighted to share the stage with Josephine.  

The Lawrence, Kansas native Josephine, has a classical Suzuki background on fiddle that she started playing at 6 years old!  She found bluegrass in a dusty field at a festival the age of 12 and never looked back. A regular at the Wallnut Valley Festival in Winfield Kansas, for the past 8 years she calls Nashville home and has rescued 3 adorable kitties.  Josephine has played stages and delighted audiences all across America, been influenced by many artists, but calls out Merle Haggard and Keith Whitley  as her favorites.
